Nitro ION Gateway Setup Guide
We are excited that 2022 is coming to an end with our IoT sensor and Nitro ION Miner reaching our community members’ homes. In this guide, we will walk you through setting up the Nitro ION Gateway so that you can get started on your smart journey. Follow along as we discover how easy it is to get started!
A Step-by-step Guide
You can connect the Nitro ION Gateway in two ways:
A) Connect via Ethernet (Preferred and Easy)
B) Connect via WiFi
A) Connect via Ethernet (Preferred and Easy)
Step 1: Connect the Gateway with a LAN cable from your router
Your Gateway is now connected to Nitro’s Network!
B) Connect via WiFi
Step 1: Turn on the Gateway. It will auto-generate a WiFi network named NitroGW-Idr-xxxxxx. Please note that “xxxxxx” is 6-digit text unique to your gateway
Connect to the network by clicking the network. Password entry will be prompted.
Enter the password*: (Enter the password sent to you over the email from which you placed the order)
Step 2: Connect to the WiFi network created in step 1.
You can use a PC or any other device to connect to this WiFi network.
Open a web browser and type IP address 10.130.76.1 in your web browser.
Note: NNIONGIN has the default IP 10.130.76.1, please ensure that you’re connected to the WiFi network to proceed further.
Step 3: A sign-in popup will appear. Please enter the login details here. The account login details are the following:
Username: admin
Password: (Enter the password sent to you over the email from which you placed the order)
Step 4: After login, you will be directed the homepage of the Gateway’s Firmware.
Click on “Network” tab from the header and then select “WiFi” from the dropdown menu
System Overview — → Network — → Wifi
Step 5: WiFi webpage will appear. Please check the checkbox of Enable WiFi WAN Client Settings (as shown in the picture).
Step 6: Enter your WiFi (Home or personal) name and password in the Host WiFi SSID and Passphrase respectively.
Now, select your SSID from “WiFi Survey”.
Note: In case you don’t see your SSID in WiFi Survey, proceed with the default SSID.
Step 7: Click Save and Apply. You will see the WiFi Status as OK.
Note: Click on Refresh if the Status is not updated.

Step 8: Your Gateway is now connected to Nitro’s Network
Setting up a Nitro ION gateway for your home internet needs is fairly simple and straightforward. Following the step-by-step instructions above, you can be connected to the web in no time with your new gateway.
